We are Candy & Carolyn
We are a mother and daughter who have navigated numerous trials together while growing in our faith, in particular through Carolyn's prodigal journey through homosexuality. Since that redemption and restoration, we've had the privilege of investing in the lives of other women, just as our lives have been enriched by one another and our sisters in Christ. Through this community, we provide education, encouragement and inspiration to you on your faith journey.
Statement of Faith
We at The Ruby Tent believe in the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.
We believe God is a triune God - God the Father, God the Son (Jesus the Messiah), and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. As such, it is inerrant.
We believe it is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, that God forgives us of our sins and gives us eternal life with Him.
We believe God ordained marriage to be a spiritual and physical union between only two people, a man and a woman.
Our Guiding Principles
We believe Jesus clearly defined the commission of every believer in Mark 12: 30-31. “'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.' The second is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself. ' There is no other commandment greater than these.” If we truly love others, we will also “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” (Mark 16:15).
Thus, what guides us is simple.
Love God.
Love Others.
Point them to Jesus.
